FPOA Scholarship Guidelines
PURPOSE: The men and women of the Fullerton Police Officers’ Association (FPOA) wish to reward community involvement and academic achievement of local college bound high school students. Toward that goal, we established an FPOA Scholarship to be awarded to high school seniors graduating during the 2018-2019 academic year, who will be attending college in 2019-2020.
BENEFIT: The FPOA Scholarship Committee will select students that live within the City of Fullerton and attend a Fullerton High School or other accredited High School outside of Fullerton. Each recipient will receive a $500 scholarship to be used toward college tuition or expenses for the 2019-2020 academic year. There will be a minimum of five awards. The scholarship committee reserves the right to award additional scholarships if warranted.
PROCESS: Each applicant shall submit an application including a one page essay discussing the applicant’s future plans, community involvement, and career goals, GPA, academic honors, accomplishments, and school participation. Include law enforcement goals if any. The deadline is May 24, 2019. All applications must be received by the deadline.
